How far in advance should we book?
To be able to serve my couples and families best I take a limited number of weddings and portrait sessions. With that in mind I suggest booking early. Wedding photography is typically booked after your venue is secured and portrait sessions are booked with a 4–6-week lead window.
What happens if it rains?
Mother nature can have a mind of her own! If it is just a sprinkle and you enjoy playing in the rain, we can still go out and shoot! However, most prefer to wait, which is totally fine. Because I take a limited number of sessions per month, we have room to reschedule.
Do you travel?
Yes! I love to travel. I am based in Palm Desert, California and include up to 175 miles of travel - anything outside of that will incur an additional travel fee and is custom quoted depending on location and travel needs.
When is the best time to schedule my maternity session?
I suggest getting on the calendar once you have entered your second trimester and scheduling your shoot for 30-35 weeks in your pregnancy. By this point you are at the stage in your pregnancy where you will be showing for sure but not too tired to not want to go out much.
How many photos will we get back? And what is the turnaround time?
This is a pretty broad question and I never put a solid XX because different sessions pose different possibilities. I can say though That I typically provide about 40-50 usable images per hour of shooting.
Will our photos be shared publicly?
During the booking process you will receive a few pieces of paperwork, including a Model Release. No photos are shared unless consent is given. I understand that your family may have specific circumstances and if you prefer I don’t use your photos that is your choice.
Do you help with outfits?
I do. Both my brides and mothers are offered access to my client's closet of dresses. When we get to the planning stages of your session you will receive a link to this and I suggest choosing your outfit first and then building your family/fiance around that. (Client closet is only shared after booking) Also, If you would like to try on some options I would be happy to schedule a time for you to do a fitting to pick an outfit or two.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Payment plans are available for all sessions and packages. 50% of the package is due at the time of booking and then we can set up a payment plan that works best for you. Final Wedding Payments are due 1 month prior to the wedding date and Final Portrait Session Payments are due 1 week before your session.
Can we include our pets?
Of course! I love when your fur babies are brought along. Afterall, they are a part of the family. If you do bring your pet along don’t forget their favorite squeaky toy, treats, and somebody to help with your pets for the photos that they won’t be included in. We don’t want them waiting in the car.
How many outfits and locations are included?
2 outfits are included as well as 2 locations (must be close to each other). This is also a great way to add variety to your gallery!
