It has been a while since I have had the opportunity to write a new blog post. But Saramia’s maternity session at the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve is the best way to jump back into things.
We are in the process of moving still. But, I took a weekend a month ago to travel out to Joshua Tree, California for 3 maternity sessions and meetings to get a jump start on the business side of our relocation.
After a week’s postponement due to conflicting schedules, I flew out for work and started with Saramia’s (Mia) session. Luckily, the postponement meant that her husband Ryan had returned from deployment. Which meant he was able to join her for this milestone in their life together. And the fall chill was already in the air but from the look of it, you could barely tell.
Saramia was absolutely glowing during her session inside and out and it is no surprise that it was a huge help that Ryan was able to keep her laughing and in high spirits during the length of the shoot. He even got in on the fun during some of the shots and they are probably some of my personal favorites because they are just so dang cute together!
Even off camera, he was a doting husband. Carrying bags and running to grab her phone all the back in the car with her inspiration photos. Yes, the lady came prepared and I loved it!
We started shooting before the sun decided to grace us with its presence. But, when it did we got the most stunning golden hour to finish the session.
Since our session, Saramia and Ryan welcomed their handsome baby boy into the world on October 9, 2022. Their family of three is doing great and mom and baby are thriving.
